Now the home of Manchester City FC, the Etihad is one of Manchester's largest & most impressive venues. Boasting a capacity of over 53,000, reaching nearly 60,000 on concert nights. The stadium was originally opened in 2002 and has since hosted multiple major sporting events including the 2002 Commonwealth games, 2005 UEFA Womens championship, 2008 UEFA cup final, Ricky Hatton vs Juan Lazcana & the 2015 Rugby Union World Cup. The stadium has also hosted some of the worlds biggest musicians including Ed Sheeran, Metallica, Muse, Spice Girls, Taylor Swift AC/DC & hometown hero Liam Gallagher to name a few.
