Q-Park have operated the Meadows car park since 2016 and it serves the nearby Meadows Shopping Centre. Due to its excellent and easily accessible city centre location it is also popular amongst commuters and visitors to other local attractions. Since taking over many improvements have been made to the facility including the installation of 8 EV Charging Points and the installation of the state-of-the-art PaSS ANPR system to allow mobile app customers and online bookings to access the parking facility using their number plate.

Earlier this year the very first Chelmsford BID Business Awards were created giving an opportunity for local stakeholders to nominate city centre businesses for 10 different categories. Amazingly over 7,000 nominations were received which the judging panel had to review. Q-Park were nominated for the Professional Service of the Year category which was a wide ranging award recognising everything from financial services to recruitment and even transport solutions. The winners will be announced in a lavish ceremony on the 12th June inside the beautiful Chelmsford Cathedral.

John Denton, Head of Commercial at Q-Park UK commented ‘We are honoured to be nominated for one of the very first Chelmsford BID Business Awards. It is testament to work we have done in the local area over the last 8 years that we are being recognised as the mobility partner of choice in Chelmsford.’
